You may feel as though something within you is divided.
This work is often a fit for those who appear stable on the outside, yet are experiencing anxiety, burnout, or a loss of meaning—seeking to understand that what feels like fixed traits are often patterns developed over time, and the freedom to move beyond them.
You may feel pulled between the person you believe you should be and the deeper self that remains unseen beneath the surface of the world. At times, this tension appears as uncertainty in your direction, a quiet disconnection from yourself, or a sense of moving through life without feeling fully within it. Anxiety, insecurity, depression, and dissatisfaction can arise from this internal divide.
Counseling offers a space to explore these experiences honestly. Through reflection, conversation, and self-examination, individuals can begin to understand the patterns that shape their thoughts, behaviors, and sense of identity. This often involves slowing down, paying attention to experiences that feel unclear, and beginning to notice patterns that were not previously visible.
My work is grounded in the distinction between the constructed self and the deeper self that remains beneath it. Much of human suffering develops when individuals come to believe that the identities shaped by comparison, expectation, and social pressure define who they truly are. In practice, this means exploring the tension between who you feel you should be and what feels more genuinely aligned within you.
Counseling becomes a process of recognizing these patterns, confronting them with honesty, and gradually moving toward a more authentic way of being. The goal is not to destroy the self shaped by the world, but to loosen its hold and rediscover the deeper self that has always existed within. Over time, this can lead to clearer decisions, less internal conflict, and a more stable sense of direction.
